Screen printing in Warsaw - technology in our printing house

What is screen printing?

Screen printing is a technique for printing on T-shirts. The process involves the preparation of a stencil (graphic), applied to a fine mesh. The paint is pressed through a previously prepared matrix, duplicating the image on a properly prepared material. The result? A beautiful high quality print, characterised by great durability.

Technology silk-screen printing on T-shirts enables detailed prints of almost any type and colour. It's also the best choice for more unusual designs. Graphics with shiny silver on a T-shirt? Neon, striking colours? Convex T-shirt printing? Screen printing allows you to achieve the right effect. What is more, the possibility of using different types of inks, makes it possible to apply the print to various materials, both light and dark colours. This technique of shirt printing in Warsaw is nowadays most commonly used to apply prints on clothing. Especially popular is screen printing on T-shirts or bags. However, you can also find screen printing on glass, metal or cardboard.

Screen printing Warsaw

Screen printing is a method whose advantages have been appreciated for hundreds of years. It was inspired by stencil printing, used in the Far East for thousands of years, and Japan is considered to be its homeland. Over time, this technique has been improved and today, out of many printing techniques, screen printing guarantees good coverage of all textile materials and the highest durability of the print. Water, washing, UV radiation do not affect clothes printed by us with screen printing method in Warsaw. This is all thanks to the great care taken over the printing and the various types of paint that we select depending on the type of application and the material on which it is to be applied.

Plastisol inks

Plastisol inks are used for both simple and more complex graphics. This type of paint allows precise reproduction of details, use of the entire colour palette, and at the same time has the fewest technical limitations. Due to its high density and ease of covering, it is the ideal choice for dark surfaces. If cotton garments come through our screen - plastisol inks are our number one choice!

Water-based inks

Water-based inks are ideal for screen-printing on light-coloured fabrics and produce remarkably vivid colours. They are perfect for colourful, detailed patterns - watercolours can be used on dense mesh, which guarantees sharp graphics. Prints made with them are soft, durable and odourless (water-based inks are odourless and considered to be ecological!).

Discharge inks

Discharge inks are innovative agents that remove the colour from the fabric, developed specifically for the screen printing method! The substances erase some of the pigment, leaving a perfectly smooth pattern that is imperceptible to the touch. Discharge inks are usually used on dark fabrics, preferably made of cotton.

CMYK inks

Do you need DTG quality printing? We can help with this as well, using our CMYK ink system! This allows us to reproduce colours and graphic details perfectly in print - on both light and dark fabrics.

Screen printing - how does the printing process work at Printing Season?

Prints made in our screen printing workshop in Warsaw are detailed and durable... as long as they are carefully prepared at every stage of the production - from preparing the pattern to drying the finished print. How do we create prints at Printing Season?

The first step is to establish the details with the client.

At the very beginning it is necessary to determine not only the design of the print to be made by screen printing, but also the type and the colour of the material, to which it is to be applied. The graphic has to be appropriately prepared based on the type of fabric that will be used. The choice of paints that will give the best effect also depends on these factors. At Printing Season we offer both the possibility of applying graphics prepared by the customer and the service of designing a pattern.

We then prepare files with graphics.

If the print is going to be multi-coloured, we prepare the colour separation using specialist software and our many years of experience - to make sure that the colours in the print are reproduced as accurately as possible. In case of dark fabrics, we saturate the colours and select an appropriate line size. The finished file goes to the printing house, where a plate is made, which professionally is called a diapositive. Finally, it is time to choose a screen with the right grid density. This is chosen depending on the graphics and the type of ink to be used. The next stage involves exposing the screen together with the print design.

Applying paint to clothing and fixing.

We apply every colour separately to the material. Each requires also a separate matrix. (Due to this, the cost of multi-colour prints is higher.) This procedure guarantees that the finished print will be detailed and that the colours of the graphic will be accurately reproduced in print.

The finished print is fixed and thoroughly dried. And finally - we get a completed product, a beautifully decorated t-shirt, bag or cap. Thanks to the combination of modern technology, experience, the latest ink system and traditional technique, we obtain soft, precisely made applications, preserving all the details of the graphics.

What does the price of a screen printing service in Warsaw depend on?

Along with the high print quality of the screen printing workshop in Warsaw and great opportunities, the print has one more advantage: low prices for large quantities of orders! A print run of twenty pieces is already cost-effective, and the higher the demand, the lower the unit cost. In addition, the number of colours used in the graphics influence the price. Large format screen printing will also be more expensive. Therefore, pricing for screen printing is always worked out individually - depending on the type of graphic and the quantity ordered. For this reason silkscreen printing is particularly cost-effective, for example, when ordering T-shirts, company, event, music gadgets or advertising prints in large quantities.

In addition, the price of the final screen printing order is also influenced by the scope of services (it is possible to order a graphic design as well) and the cost of the garment to be decorated.

Why should I choose screen printing?

Screen printing ensures high quality, precision and durability of the print, which is resistant to washing and does not fade in the sun. It allows to apply a pattern on both light and dark materials and also gives the possibility to place more interesting applications on them - convex or glossy. It is perfect for printing on clothing, gadgets such as bags and flat surfaces. With larger orders the cost of screen printing is relatively low, so it is the first choice in case of high demand.

On the other hand, it is better not to opt for screen printing if you want to order only a few pieces. The unit cost in this case is too high. Therefore, we invite individuals and companies that need at least twenty prints to place their orders.
