A printed cap, from the perspective of a company, can be a very good advertising gadget. Those made by well-known brands almost always carry a logo, distinguishing the item as the company's product (and at the same time increasing the brand's reach). However, printed caps can be used for advertising purposes by more than just clothing companies. A well-tailored cap with a discreetly printed logo, or a more imaginative print, can be a great advert for any company. They also work well as gifts for customers or employees, building relationships with consumers and people employed in the company. Printed baseball caps are the most popular - ideal for summer, to protect the head and eyes from the sun, a very good gadget for various events and parties. In some cases, however, you could also consider printed sports caps (especially if your offer aims at athletes) or printed winter hats as an alternative.
Printed baseball caps are also often used as gadgets for fans (next to products such as mugs, T-shirts, accessories) - often of music bands, but also manga and anime (e.g. Pokemons), books (e.g. Harry Potter), games (e.g. League of Legends) or films (e.g. Star Wars). In this case, on the one hand, they advertise a specific product, on the other hand, they are an additional source of income. They can also be designed for people with specific interests or members of subcultures, such as printed skate caps for skaters.
Why does a printed cap work well as an advertising gadget? First of all: it is useful. In the summer, baseball caps are often worn, especially at the beach or on longer trips, to protect the head from too much sun. When playing sports, especially in autumn and winter, a comfortable cap is often necessary to minimise the risk of catching a cold. In winter, a warm hat protects against the cold. In addition, a nice hat can be worn primarily for decoration. Thus, there is a good chance that a person that receives such gadget will really use it. Printed promotional clothing is a good way to promote yourself in an era when traditional advertising is losing its power - recipients are often reluctant to see ordinary advertising or even do not notice it at all.
Printing on a baseball cap, due to its specific shape, is often more difficult than with T-shirts or bags and is not always possible using every technique. The options are slightly different for hats that have not yet been fully sewn (i.e. on a pattern) and for finished hats. The finished caps are usually printed using thermal transfer. Screen-printed thermo-transfer is a method in which a logo is initially produced on heat-transfer film or paper and then "heat set" into the cap at a high temperature. The resulting print has a quality similar to traditional screen printing. It reproduces colours and graphic details faithfully, can be used to apply even the most complex designs, and is very durable. The cap print, like screen printing, will be resistant to both weather and washing. Another option is to use a flex/flox foils. When it comes to hats, it's worth remembering that it's best not to apply graphics where there is a seam, as this can distort the print or make it less durable. So if your chosen model has a seam in the front, it is best to place the print on the side. It can be more complicated to get the print onto the cap when it is made from very thick materials, especially winter hats. Using screen printing technology may not be possible in these cases. The alternative here is computer embroidery.
We invite you to take advantage of our offer if you are in need of printed hats of the highest quality and durability. We can prepare for you standard printed caps, printed baseball caps and certain types of printed sports caps. We also specialise in making applications with computer embroidery method, which is often used for winter hats.
The technology we use allows us to print on both black, light and coloured hats. We use various types of inks, so we can easily achieve a variety of effects. In the case of the thermal transfer method, plastisol inks work best and can be used for both simple and more detailed graphics. The sharpness of the graphics and the vibrancy of the colours are very important here. Or perhaps the print should be of a quality similar to digital printing? You can successfully do this with a screen-printing digital thermal transfer.
